Took a ride down the bike trail behind Mt. Rubidoux to check the aftermath of the Thursday evening fire. The main burned out sections were not visible from the trail, but I found a couple spots that got pretty close to some homes.. At points, I imagine the flames were as close as 100 feet to homes that are backed against the Santa Ana. I found fences run over by fire trucks and tire marks everywhere. Must have been a mad house trying to maneuver 10 ton fire trucks on a two lane bike trail. Crazy.
Anyway here's some shots.

Dead center - lizard head.
Just a little guy.
Larger image from collage.
Also, saw a helicopter pick up some firefighters and take off from the park.
I wish I had my 7D as I would have shot some video.
Dead center again, helicopter dropping in about 600 yds away.
