Hit the Switch @ Characters Pomona, CA

-Bonsai- (whom I missed).  =(
-another band
-Dirty Filthy Mugs
and
-then the two bands I got pictures of
-Battle Flask
and
-Hit the Switch (Joel's last show)

Characters in Pomona.  What can I say?  Well that place sure is special.  Not your everyday hang out, but if bands are playing, and there usually are, Characters can be cool.

Haven't been blogging as of recent.  Busy. Lazy. Busy.
Got a new job. Back to designing signs.  It's fun! No more physical labor. Booya!  It's a great change from the last job.
anywho, here's the pics from last nite.
Joel  (guitar, long hair) from Hit the Switch played his last show with the band.  I'm pretty sure that band was his baby, so it's gotta be tough to move on from all the sweat and beers. Good luck man.

Oh and this was a 12th and G show.  Didn't know that till I got there.  Saw Tim and Donna meant to say hello and give you sad face for your joint closing up.  well here's one for you if you read this....

Dead to Me @ 12th and G 3/11/2011

There are not a lot of shows nowadays you can go to and every single band ....ummmm, is good?  I'm talking on point (maybe a few beers in, but aren't we all?).

This was that show.

Glorious. Epic. Awesome. Good Times. Rad.

Shovel and Gun- (Riverside) (Wanna see more of these guys)- Rad
French Exit- (L.A./Lancaster)-  (Whom I've heard a lot of good things.) - Glorious.
Dan Padilla- (San Diego) (Don't disappoint)- Good Times.
Madison Bloodbath- (America) (Best I've ever heard them) - Awesome.
Dead to Me- (San Francisco)(First time I've seen 'em and it was......) - Epic.

Hadn't yet visited the the warehouse at 12th and G in Chino.  Great DIY venue.  (I'll pay next time, thanks Marty)
It's a BYOB joint, thumbs up. Seems the peeps keeping the place up and running are really doing something good for the scene.  I hope to be back soon.
check them out...
